I spent New Year 2011 at my Aunt’s place in Kaneohe. Her rooftop is perfect for watching the fireworks since it overlooks Kaneohe Bay. January 2, 2011 marks the ban on fireworks in Hawaii unless you carry a permit. Fireworks has been a cultural part for the Hawaiian people, so it will be interesting to see what will happen next year.
