The HURT100 trail race is organized by the awesome people of the Hawaii Ultra Running Team.

This year I volunteered in Paradise Park deep in Manoa Valley which is one of the three aid stations for this trail course.

These ultra runners began their 100 mile trek in the Nature Center (Makiki) at 6 in the morning of January 14, 2012. Then they proceeded to Paradise Park (Manoa) to JAG (Nuuanu) then back to Nature Center to complete a 20 mile loop. They had to do this loop 4 more times to finish the 100 miles.

Seeing the runners with their happy faces come through one by one was very motivational. The support they receive from their friends and family was equally inspirational. I was glad to see some of my friends who participated as well as volunteered for this epic event.
